Register to Vote
The deadline to register for the November election is October 7th.
Absentee ballot request deadline: Tuesday, October 21.
Expanded early voting: Saturday, October 18–Saturday, November 1.

Vote By Absentee Ballot
Any registered voter in New Mexico can vote by absentee ballot without an excuse.
Requesting a ballot: You can apply for an absentee ballot online through the New Mexico Secretary of State's website, by downloading and returning a paper application, or by contacting your county clerk's office.
Permanent absentee list: Voters can also opt-in to the permanent absentee list to automatically receive a mail-in ballot for every statewide election.
Returning your ballot: Completed absentee ballots must be physically received by the clerk's office or dropped off at a polling site by 7 p.m. on Election Day, November 4. Postmarks do not count.
